Employee Benefits Sr. Account Manager

JOB SUMMARY
📍 Hybrid – Newburyport, MA (2–3 days in office)
🗺️ Option to report to Wakefield, MA after training
💼 Full-Time | $130K + Annual Bonus

You’ll manage a book of business that includes groups ranging from 40–200 employees (roughly a $1M block) across the U.S. — though most of your clients will be based in MA, NH, and ME.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for a portfolio of Employee Benefits clients

  • Consult with employers on plan design, renewals, and benefits strategy

  • Negotiate renewals and rates with carriers and vendors

  • Deliver exceptional service that keeps clients coming back year after year

  • Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless onboarding and renewals

  • Stay on top of industry trends and compliance updates

  • Help shape the growth and success of a rapidly expanding benefits team



Requirements: 

  • 3+ years of agency experience in employee benefits – must-have

  • Strong understanding of fully insured and self-funded financial arrangements

  • Confident communicator, comfortable advising C-suite clients

  • Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented (you make chaos look easy)

  • Passionate about helping clients make informed benefits decisions
